It’s been a long winter—some might argue, twelve months long. Occasions like Saint Patrick’s Day and April Fools Day and their traditions can help usher in springtime levity and light. In this generative workshop, we’ll look at some pithy, playful and poignant examples of writing on the themes of luck, fortune, and whimsy. I'll offer optional writing prompts inspired by the model texts. Although most of our workshop time will be spent writing, there will be some time for optional sharing.
This is a relaxed, fun and engaging workshop intended for writers of all genres and any level, including aspiring writers—and for anyone who could use a little more playfulness and humor.
